I’ve been working as a freelance investigative photojournalist since 2012 before being an accredited member of the UK and International Press from 2017 covering everything from local events and music festivals to breaking news including major crime scenes and overseas conflict.

I receive regular commissions to obtain photographs of breaking news events throughout the South Wales area along with high risk and high profile events including protests, riots and terror incidents. Additionally, my team and I receive direct leads about police incidents that are of interests as well as our in house news room that monitors hundreds of thousands of social media posts across all platforms in real-time, allowing me to respond almost immediately.

My photography background of shooting abandoned buildings made me look for the finer details, often the bits missed by many others. It taught me to shoot in complete darkness and to tell a story through my photographs. My editorial content is no different. I always aim to not only take the initial breaking news photographs but to also capture the story that follows, capture the emotions and to make the viewers feel like they are stood there themselves.
